SBI is Recruiting people in Huge Numbers

In mid of these Developments, SBI had announced its Recruitment Project for 2013, in which bank plans to recruit 20,000 people in the coming 1 year.Announcement of SBI Recruitment 2013, is a dream come true for many and for those, who aspires to make a career in Banking Sector. Among, 20,000 people, 19000 will be recruited as Clerks and the remaining 1000 will be appointed as Officers.This information about the Upcoming SBI Recruitment 2013 is shared by  Mr A. This Upcoming SBI Recruitment is much bigger, than the SBI Recruitment 2012, as far as numbers are concerned. In 2012, SBI had recruited close to 17,000 people, but that number will surely exceed for the Upcoming year. So Gear Up, as it is raining Bank Jobs in India
As of now, State Bank of India (SBI) had 2.14 lakh employees and its is expected of Bank to increase the staff strength by 10 % in the coming one year.
 SBI is Recruiting people in Huge Numbers :

Since, SBI is the India’s Largest Public Sector Banks ans there fore it had the Largest Network of Branches and the Highest Work force (Number of Employees). As of June, 2012, SBI had 2.14 lakh people on its Roles, out of which  80,329 officers and 95,018 clerks.The two major reasons that had been put forwarded by bank for this  Recruitment
1) Retirement of Employees: In the coming five years, about 30 to 35 %  or 70 to 80,000 of Bank Staff in going to retire.So, that is why Bank will need the people to fill up these vacancies.
2) Opening of New Bank Branches: SBI had decided to open 1200 bank branches this Fiscal. The Bank will be need the staff to carry on the operations in the newly opened branches.
Shortage of Clerks: Since SBI is facing huge shortage of Clerks, so it decided to recruit 19,000 clerks and only1000 Officers .Krishna Kumar said that this was being done to address the deficit in clerical staff in many branches
